Every timeyou start the app you'll notice that not all is the same, characters will have moved around and some will have grown orshrunk. Kwai kwai are little creatures that inhabit our head. Theywere discovered by dr. Thalie who named them after the sound theymake when they greet one and other. "kwai" also happens to mean"hello" in the language of the Abenaki people, from whom she is adescendant. Hi my name is Nathalie Prevost. I am the maker of thisapp and I hold a doctorate in Cognitive Science. I developed thisstorybook for parents and kid so they can better understand thecomplexity of the brain and in so doing, develop an appreciationfor the difficulties mental challenges can present. I wanted toshow that everything about the brain is a subtle dance betweenorder and chaos, achieved with our awareness but also with a gooddose of randomness, as the interactive aspect of the app willhopefully demonstrate. This app also features a musical score fromSOCAN award winner and Genie award nominee, Rudy Toussaint.
